The Alexander Technique teaches people how to use their bodies better. By re-educating the neuro-muscular system, the technique enables improved mobility, posture and performance while reducing pain that accompanies muscular tension and misuse. The Alexander Technique is a process that literally changes these interfering muscular patterns and behaviors that cause pain, limit movement, and diminish performance.
People experiencing pain (back, joint, repetitive stress injury, even headaches) will find relief through the release of muscular tension. Athletes, dancers and musicians also use the technique to improve performance. Alexander Technique has also been demonstrated beneficial on a wide range of conditions including Parkinson's, migraines, ADHD, and neurological conditions.
